Each handcrafted Raku Turtle is fired in an outdoor kiln and left to smolder in a pit with dried brush and mesquite shavings that burst into flame. Varying conditions assure that your Raku Art is one of a kind in color and texture.
Turtles, for the ancient Hawaiians symbolized wisdom and longevity.
Each turtle may look slightly different in color and shape do to the nature of pottery and the glaze used to create each turtle, but all will have the same basic design.
